John Mooers has over 20 years of experience as a senior business strategist with expertise in developing growth strategies, allowing companies and organizations to capitalize on opportunity and recognize exponential value.
As the President of Blue Stone for the past four years, Mooers has been responsible for leading project teams in helping Tribes develop effective strategic planning for economic development through operational efficiency and due diligence assessments. He is responsible for maintaining projects processes to ensure efficiency and quality control. Mooers has been involved with numerous business assessments for Tribal clients in many different industries, both on and off the reservation.
Prior to his work with Blue Stone, Mooers’ career spans over 400 engagements in a number of industries and includes involvement in the development and launch of both Microsoft Windows 95 and the Microsoft Network. He has also been involved in developing strategies for Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and a number of middle-markets and emerging growth companies.
Mooers’ experience in validating business models and structure on behalf of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and the investment banking community provides great value to tribal nations that are looking to diversify their revenue streams or improve the performance of existing tribal enterprises. He also has experience in contract negotiations and deal structuring and has been instrumental in helping clients clearly understand all of their options.
Through his experience in developing alliances and strategic partnerships, Mooers is able to advise tribal clients on developing win-win relationships that create long-term return and benefit to the Tribe.
