Kim Secakuku
(Hopi)
Kim Secakuku has over 20 years experience working with tribes in the capacity of tribal government operations, policy development, and public relations. Kim is a member of the Hopi Tribe and has played an important role in the development and updating of its strategic plan, the “Hopi Potskwaniat”.
Kim’s knowledge of policy and experience working with a number of tribes allows her to provide effective training to tribal governments and boards. She has facilitated strategic planning and goal setting exercises to assist tribes with developing clarity and understanding tribal direction.
In her work with the Hopi, Yavapai-Apache, and San Carlos Apache Tribes, Kim has managed public relations efforts and developed tribal communications plans for effective communications with tribal membership, the external public, and the media.
Kim Has also assisted Tribal councils and executive offices in establishing policy for administrative operations for effective management and government operations. Kim’s experience also includes assisting in the development of tribal legislative and federal appropriations for tribes, and organizing and developing lobbying strategies for tribes.
