PHOENIX, AZ – Blue Stone Strategy Group is honored to have been a support at the National Indian Gaming Association’s “Indian Gaming 2011″ Tradeshow and Convention, which took place on April 3-6, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona.  Blue Stone provided expertise on two panel presentations, was a major sponsor and exhibitor, helped launch the American Indian Business Network technology platform and hosted a well-attended reception for the Network.

“With our focus on serving Indian Country and strengthening tribal sovereignty and self-determination, it was a privilege to play an important part in Indian Gaming 2011,” said Jamie Fullmer, Chairman/CEO of Blue Stone.  Blue Stone Senior Strategist Henry Cagey added “The NIGA Trade Show continues to get better each year by providing important information to those who are looking for updates and continuing improvements in Indian Country.  Since the passing of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, Indian Gaming has grown into a mature, thriving enterprise that we can all be proud of.”

Blue Stone Executives and Senior Team members gave presentations on “Economic Development Diversification” and “Protecting Sovereignty Through Strategic Planning,” demonstrating our commitment to serving as a trusted resource and advisor to Indian Country.  Both sessions were well-attended and generated several questions from attendees.  “Tribal Leaders and gaming experts were clearly interested in these two topics and we were honored that several Tribes from around the country followed-up with Blue Stone Team members during NIGA and requested presentations as well as initial proposals,” said Alvin Warren, Blue Stone Partner and Executive Vice President.  Senior Strategist Henry Cagey commented “Blue Stone’s workshops were very successful because Tribes and Native Peoples are looking for better solutions to planning needs which reinforces the importance of Blue Stone’s strategies and services.”

Blue Stone was also pleased to see NIGA Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr. reelected this year and is thankful for the advice and support he has provided to Blue Stone.  Brian Patterson, Blue Stone Senior Strategist, said “we congratulate the entire NIGA Leadership on the reelection of Ernie Stevens, Jr.  This election clearly demonstrates the importance of continuity in leadership and of communicating a strong vision through strategic planning aimed at implementation.”

Since “Indian Gaming 2011,” Blue Stone Team members have been in contact with several Tribes around the country that indicated an interest in Blue Stone’s services and expertise.  Senior Strategist Brian Patterson said “through our two presentations, and as a proud supporter of NIGA, we were able to share some best practices with Tribal Leaders and their representatives that address the strong need for a sustainable strategic planning process reflecting tribal values, priorities and vision and aimed at long-term implementation.  Moving forward, Blue Stone Strategy Group is well-positioned to provide thought leadership to Tribes in the areas of economic development and tribal governance.”
